Project Scope
QWmind Tech designed and delivered a customized Inventory Management System covering order management, procurement management, and inbound/outbound inventory control. The engagement included requirements analysis, system design, integrations with the client’s operational systems, and deployment of role-based dashboards and reporting tools to support day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making.

The Challenge
Würth Electronic needed a unified, reliable solution to manage complex part flows across electronics and photovoltaic assembly lines. The client faced fragmented inventory data, manual order handling, and limited visibility into procurement lead times—conditions that increased working capital, raised supply risk, and constrained timely decision-making for planners and managers.

Our Solution
QWmind Tech delivered a pragmatic, business-focused system that balances automation with operational usability:
End-to-end Process Coverage: Implemented order-to-fulfilment workflows, procurement planning modules, and standardized inbound/outbound procedures to remove process gaps.
Real-time Inventory Visibility: Centralized stock records with transaction-level tracing, enabling accurate, up-to-the-minute inventory views for operators and planners.
Integration: Built custom interfaces to the client’s existing ERP and production systems so inventory events and order statuses remain synchronized across platforms.
Operational Dashboards & Analytics: Rolled out role-based dashboards and exportable reports to surface KPIs—turnover, aging, order fulfillment rates, and procurement performance—so stakeholders can act quickly on exceptions.
Exception & Risk Controls: Added automated alerts for low stock, overdue orders, and receipt discrepancies, plus guided remediation workflows to reduce human error and cycle times.
The Outcome
The solution provided Würth Electronic with a robust operational backbone for inventory-driven production:
Improved resource allocation through accurate inventory timing and prioritized order handling.
Lower operational risk and cost via fewer manual interventions, earlier exception detection, and tighter procurement controls.
Faster, data-driven decisions supported by clear dashboards and consolidated reports for operations, procurement, and management.
Scalable foundation to support future increases in throughput and expanded product mixes without compromising inventory accuracy.
Together, these improvements strengthened Würth Electronic’s supply-chain resilience and supported more predictable production performance across electronics and photovoltaic assembly lines.
